Alexandre Kazouline (in Belorusse АляксандрУладзіслававічКазулін), former vice-chancellor of the university of Minsk, is the leader of the social democrat Party of Bielorussia, Narodnaya Gramada. Opposing to the political regime Loukachenko, it is, since July 13rd, 2006, political prisoner in its country, having been condemned to five years and half of prison for “hooliganism” and organization of prohibited gatherings. At the end of 2006, it made a fifty four days hunger strike. Amnesty International, as well as other defense association of the human rights, requires its release.
