Alexandre Desgrez
Alexandre Desgrez (July 15th 1863 - January 20th 1940), doctor, chemist, hydrologist and Climatologist French, was born with Bannes in the High Marne.
Beginning June 1915, then professor with the Medical college of Paris, it belonged to the four pharmacists of the section of protection of the Commission of asphyxiating gases (replaced by the Commission of the chemical studies of war on June 18th). In 1917, it worked out the neutralization of the Ypérite by the Chloride of lime and developed a process of cleaning of infected clothing.
In 1923, Alexandre Desgrez is elected President of the French Association for the advance of sciences (Afas). March 10th 1924 it is elected Membre of the Academy of Science (division of the free academicians), member of the national Académie of medicine.
