Alexandre Carlin

Alexandre Carlin (born the February 2nd 1973 with Versailles) is a Leader, professor of Clarinette and Compositeur French. Its catalog includes/understands original works, transcriptions, various arrangements, as well as many instrumental parts of contest.

Biography

After having begun the study of the clarinet to old 8 years, and having followed traditional secondary studies, Alexandre Carlin decides to be registered in faculty of Musicologie to the Université Paris Iv-Sorbonne. It will leave there with the level controls. In parallel, it continues its instrumental studies with the academy of Xe district of Paris, and discovers the direction of orchestra of harmony and the writing in contact with Désiré Dondeyne and Rene Castelain. He will persevere in this field while following courses deprived with the Belgian type-setter Jan Van der Roost.

Member of SACEM since 1995, it devotes himself to the composition by pleasure first of all, then starts to make publish some works. Many its instrumental compositions are imposed each year in the commissions of the musical federations like the Musical Confederation of France (CMF), the French Confederation of Battery-Brass bands (CFBF), the French federation of Music schools (FFEM), as well as the Sporting Federation of Cultural of France (FSCF).

It was rewarded twice for a first price of composition at the time of the contests of the CFBF, and was finalist at the time of the last contest of composition of the CMF.

In 2006, it creates the independent publisher CARLIN Music, specialized in the edition of its works for units.
