Career

  • No information on its beginnings
  • In September 1943, it is transferred to the 728.IAP (= Régiment of air hunting) on the face of Voronéje (= Groupe of armies of Voronéje). Then, as a pilot of the 1e Flotilla of this unit, it takes part in the engagements for the release of Kiev, within the 1e face of Ukraine , obtaining 2 victories over Junker Ju-87 Stuka, on November 6th, 1943. At the beginning of 1944, its regiment will be re-equipped of Yak-9, to replace its Yak-7 B, and in April 1944 it will be promoted with the rank of leitenant (= Sous-lieutenant).
