Alexandr Kaleri

Alexandr Jurijevi “Sasha” Kaleri (in Russian: АлександрЮрьевичКалери , born the May 13rd 1956, is a cosmonaut and a Russian veteran of the stays prolonged on the space station Mir and the International space station.

Biography

Born with Jurmala (Latvia), Kaleri is graduate Institute of physics and technology of Moscow. In 1979, it was rented by Energia Corporation and worked on the design of the space station of Mir.
It was selected as a candidate cosmonaut in 1984.

It carried out three prolonged missions on board MIR as an engineer of flight:
