Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen , of its true name Lee McQueen, is an English fashion designer born in London on March 17th, 1969. It is called, of share the sometimes provocative side of some of its collections, the " Terrible" child; , and is today, following the example other creators such Stella McCartney or Raf Simons, one of the greatest hopes of the Mode.

It was formed at the prestigious school St Martins, and just in 1996 Givenchy where it officiated until 2001.

Since the winters 2004, Alexander McQueen draws also male collections. Among the other activities of his house, one notes also the creation of two female perfumes: Kingdom and MyQueen. It also drew a bag, named Novak in homage to the style, simple and sober, of Kim Novak. This name is also a wink with the bags of the house Hermes (Kelly and Birkin) and intends to confer on Novak a statute of worship object, and not of renewable bag each season.

Collaborations:

Alexander McQueen collaborates with other artists, whom they form part of the world of the Mode, or not. One can quote, inter alia, the hatter Philip Treacy, or the not-conventional jeweller Shaun Leane. He also worked with the singer Björk, for whom he produced the clip of Alarm Call , and of many dresses (quote: the wedding gown of Pagan Poetry , constellated with pearls, a red with feathers of ostrich and blades of glass which it carried during the round Vespertine , and that which it will raise to the ceremony of Fashion Rocks).
