Alexander Beliavsky
Alexander Genrikhovitch Beliavski was born the December 17th 1953 with Lviv in RSS from Ukraine (the USSR). It is international Large-Master of failures.
Beliavski currently lives in Slovenia, country for which he plays in the Olympic team. It is in particular known for its style of play without compromise and for its repertory of traditional openings, among which one can in particular count the Gambit of the lady, the opening Ruy Lopez and the French Défense.
Alexander Beliavski gained the Championship of the world of failures junior in 1973 and the Soviet Championship of failures in 1974 and 1990.
Had a presentiment of with the beginning of the year 1980 like a future potential world champion, it was qualified for the match of the candidates once, in 1983, losing in the quarterfinals against Gary Kasparov.
