Nelson Alexander (Alex) Ross (born the January 22nd 1970) draftsman and painter of Comic S, was elected better draftsman in 1994 and 1997 by the Harvey Award. He is appreciated for the photorealism of his work.
Biography
Alex Ross was discovered on the mini-series Marvels , scenarized by Kurt Busiek, for Marvel Comics, whose it paints all the pages.Busiek, Ross and the draftsman Brent Anderson, create then Astro City , initially published by Image Comics in 1995 then by Homage Comics, a label of Wildstorm. The series puts in scene a world of original superman and continues the exploration of the topics of Marvels , how ordinary people, as well as the supermen and unpleasant themselves, live and work in a so fantastic world. Ross paints the covers of the series, which was published in a sporadic way because of the health issues of Busiek.
In 1996, Ross, made team with the scenario writer Mark Waid, for the mini-series Kingdom Like , which tells a dark future of the universe cd., in which the former heroes must return to fight a new generation of quarrelsome métahumains. Ross carries out a great work of design on the series.
