Alex Proyas

Alex Proyas (born the September 23rd 1963) is a realizer of cinema and video clips.

Biography

Born in Egypt in 1963, Alex Proyas emigrated towards the Australia with old 3 years.

He enters to Australian Film and Television School of Sydney at 17 years. He there carries out a short-measuring which receives many prices, and founds at once his own production company: Meaningful Eye Contact. It becomes one of the realizer of the most important clips of the Eighties and Nineties, and work for INXS, Fleetwood Mac, Joe Jackson, Cutting Crew, Yes, etc It also works in the advertizing and carries out many campaigns for Nike, Coca-Cola, Swatch, Nissan, etc

Its first feature-length film, Spirits off the Air, Gremlins off the Cloud leaves in 1987. But it is with The Crow in 1994 that it is really pointed out.
