Alex Krycek

Alex Krycek , interpreted by the actor Nicholas Lea, is a fictitious Personnage of the televised series X-Files. He is one of the principal supporting characters and appears for the first time in the episode Insomnies .

Biography

Presented like a partner but perceived like an awkward element by the agent Fox Mulder, Alex Krycek proves to be a Traitre with the pay of CBG (the man with the cigarette). In fact, one learns that he only plays riding in order to satisfy the only interests which import to him: his. He carries out the orders of the man to the cigarette in order to enjoy the impunity which is associated for him and to satisfy his own ambitions. He will not hesitate besides to come to help and inform Mulder to satisfy them.

Alex Krycek is neither of the good side, nor of bad, it is on his side. He can find in his enemies of the supports of circumstance, for example Mulder. It is for these reasons that it will only hide and advance without no one not being able to control it.

The first appearance of Alex Krycek (as an agent of FBI) lets think that one has to make with a Mulder young person, more ambitious and more disciplined, but one realizes quickly that it of it is nothing. On the contrary, it has the appearance of a perfect double agent, from its permanent ambiguity and the ignorance of its motivations, although one can detect a kind of great consideration for the Mulder agent. The parents of Alex Krycek have immigrant of the Russia during the Cold war, his/her father was a Russian soldier who was carried out for espionage, just like his mother. It is thus Russian and can speak the language very well about its country. Alex plays constantly with the two parts, in particular since an attack of the man to the cigarette against his life. He can be wary of his allies and sometimes trust his enemies. It handles and changes camp according to its needs, so much so that one does not know any more with what he plays, with which and why. Man of the shade, one does not know if one can trust him. He can be patient and benefit from the good moments to arrive to his ends. One hesitates to say that it is as machiavelic as the man with the cigarette, but sometimes one would be tempted to say that it is it even more still. It has a growing role and is a threat for the consortium.

1979 : The Russian government discovers that the father of Krycek is a spy, who will then be made carry out with his wife, leaving young orphan Alex.

Years 1980: Alex spends the ten years which followed with the leader of the Gulag of Tunguska, apparently a powerful character of the Russian army. This man was a friend of the father of Krycek, but also authorized his execution. He regretted to have had to make this choice, and this is why he dealt with Krycek.

1991 : Krycek has to take part in a secret appointment with Saint-Pétersbourg, is there the leader of Gulag and an old agent: Vassily Peskow. One reveals all in Krycek on his father and one charges it with a mission. It must be made pass for an American soldier in Saudi Arabia during the Guerre of the Gulf. 1992 : Marita arrives to Saudi Arabia and brings back it to the the United States. Krycek carries out that it collects information for the Russians. In the USA, Krycek learns some more on the” Project”. Krycek is led to an office in New York where it meets some members of the Trade union. The Well Manicured Man is there with Marita. They reveal to him that Marita is in fact a double agent which nourishes Russian of false informations and gives to the Trade union infos on them. Marita sees potential in Krycek (and it is also attracted by him) and proposes that it is kept in life.

October 1994: The agent Alex Krycek becomes the new partner of Mulder to the FBI. He plays the young agent, but it is far from being so inexperienced that it does not appear to with it. It hides deliberately certain elements with Mulder and distorts certain investigations. He plays double game, since actually he is in regular contact with the man with the cigarette. Its role is then to supervise very close the Mulder agent.

November 1994: Whereas Fox Mulder tries to reach the top of the Skyland Mount before Duane Barry, the fugitive one which removed Dana Scully, Krycek kills the operator of the cable car and blocks halfway it. Krycek is in company of Barry, once this last decree, when Mulder returns to question it, but some time later, Barry dies of an heart attack. Mulder shows Krycek to have poisoned it and to have killed the person in charge of the cable car (reported missing), but as of the convocation of the agent by Walter Skinner, this one disappears.

May 1995: Krycek cuts down Bill Mulder before it reveals certain elements on its work within the State Department to his Fox son. Shortly after the agent Fox Mulder is found vis-a-vis Krycek and prepares to kill it, but Scully draws on Mulder for preventing some. On order of the man to the cigarette, Krycek and one of its accomplices: Cardinal Louis, must assassinate the Scully agent, but those make an error and shoot at his/her sister Melissa Scully. Krycek also receives the order to recover a numerical cassette containing of information which the government about the extraterrestrial ones holds. This cassette is held by the assistant editor Skinner, Krycek and its accomplices attack it to seize some. But, later Krycek is left only in a car by its two assistants. It includes/understands whereas it will be killed, because it becomes undesirable. It jumps out of the vehicle of accuracy before the car does not explode. Krycek disappears then, but in possession of the cassette.

February 1996: At the time of an investigation the agent Fox Mulder discovers that a small company of rescue, of certain J.Kallenbuch, sold at the French government the signal-secret information contained in the numerical cassette. This business carries out it until HongKong where he discovers that Krycek is behind all this. Whereas the Consortium is also with the cases of Krycek, this last kills its accomplice and flees. Later Mulder finds Krycek with the international airport of Honk Kong, whereas this one prepared to leave, Mulder strikes it by surprised with the face with a telephone headset and threatens it of its weapon. Mulder wants to recover the cassette and to avenge death for his/her father, but Krycek begs it to save it and it will lead it to the cassette which is in an instruction with Washington. Whereas Krycek goes to the toilets, it is infested by the black oil (and brings out the buckled eyes of a film noirâtre.) They set out again all two (ignorant Mulder that Krycek is had) for Washington, but have a forced car accident and Krycek is removed by the Consortium. Its two attackers question it, but will be made kill by strange Krycek of way. Krycek joined the man with the cigarette and the cassette in exchange of information gives him. Scully learns that Krycek towards a base of missiles is given up on the way in the North Dakota. Mulder and Scully go on the site and go down in the silo n°1013. However they are captured by soldiers. The man with the cigarette contemplates the door of the silo behind which Krycek recrache the black substance which runs out deliberately in a strange indentation of aspect at the top of what resembles being an extraterrestrial vessel. Black oil used the body of Krycek to regain its vessel. Krycek, abandoned in the silo, strikes in vain against the door.

December 1996: At the time of an investigation into a terrorist group, the Mulder agent finds the trace of Alex Krycek (under the pseudo one of Arntzen). This one will carry out it until Tunguska in Siberia, where it will fall between the hands from a Russian secret consortium which will prove to be directed by Krycek, which practices certain experiments on human guinea-pigs locked up in a Gulag. Mulder will succeed in escaping by carrying Krycek with him in a truck. But this last will jump of the truck and in its escape will fall on a group from villagers who fight against the group which leads the experiments to Gulag. These villagers mutilate the arm to escape the experiments. Krycek will be made pass for an American tourist and those will then take it under their cut. Unfortunately for him one evening, they will cut an arm to him “to help it”. It will reinstate its Russian consortium and will work from now on with an artificial arm.

February 1998: Whereas extraterrestrial rebels exterminate a group of abductées Russian in Siberia. Alex Krycek finds a witness and takes it with him. On the spot of the drama it falls on Marita Covarrubias and its detachment from soldiers from UNO. The two people then seem to make knowledge and hardly appreciate themselves. Later Krycek will question its witness, a young boy and invests it of black oil then sew all its facial openings to him, in order to prevent that he does not tell with others what he saw. Of return to the USA (by betraying the Russian consortium since taking along the young boy with him), Krycek wants to haggle over the vaccine against black oil n the other hand of its witness, although it even subtilized the vaccine to him developed by Russian which seems to be most effective. Unfortunately it is made double by Marita Covarrubias in which it had confidence: she kidnaps the witness (it would seem that these two have had an adventure and know for a long time). Moreover Krycek is made trap by the Man manicurist well. This last to finally take it under its wing, noticing that they in the same way think both as for the invasion alien. Krycek will thus reinstate the American consortium.

January 1999: Thanks to a new technology, the Nanotechnology, Krycek “poisons” the assistant editor Walter Skinner of FBI: it invested it of Nanomachine S which can kill it at any moment, it is enough that Krycek supports on its remote control. This last thus hopes to make use of him and to obtain certain information.

February 1999: Krycek seems to have contracted an alliance with extraterrestrial rebels, and plays double-play with the Consortium which will finish destroyed by these same extraterrestrial. Only do the latter also drop it once its task (of adviser?) finished. He will also find in Fort Marlene, Marita Covarrubias which was infected the last year by the black oil which was contained in the young boy (pilot). Since it did not cease undergoing experiments perpetrated for the Project.

2000 : Krycek will thus use Skinner on several occasions, it will also try to once again double the man with the cigarette, by selling certain information. It will be found then imprisoned in Africa, from where Marita at the end of a few months will deliver it. The man with the cigarette in the final analysis has last once need for him: He is dying and in wheel chair, he it sending to seek a vessel alien which would have been crashé in Oregon in Bellefleur. Krycek goes then on the spot whereas Marita remains with the man with the cigarette. Later, it goes, with Krycek returned bredouille, with the FBI to bring information on the vessel to Mulder, the incentive to be gone on the spot, calling upon like reason the desire for being avenged for CSM, this one will then be made remove by the extraterrestrial ones. Any door to believe that Krycek had planned all this. A little later Alex and Marita go again to the man to the cigarette, and push this last in the staircases, leaving it for death. at the end of 2000: Fox Mulder is found between the life and death. Krycek poses a blackmail with Skinner thus. A vaccine to save Mulder, against the death of the baby of Dana Scully. Skinner will refuse and send the agent Doggett to recover the vaccine. Krycek will not be let make.

2001 : Krycek reveals in Mulder, Skinner, Doggett and Scully, that the child until the latter waits is very special and whom the extraterrestrial ones will make all to have it. It once more betrays everyone with the profit of the extraterrestrial ones, delivers Scully and tries to kill Mulder. But the assistant editor will prevent some, benefitting from one moment of weakness. Tired of all its handling and all its treasons, Skinner will cut down it coolness, of a ball in the head in the underground car park of the FBI.

Nevertheless, Alex Krycek remains a character-key of the series X-Files.
