Alex Fergusson , néle April 8th 1949 with Leswalt, in the Wigtownshire, is a Scottish politician Conservative party and unionistic Scottish and chairs it Scottish Parlement. It represents with the Scottish Parlement the district of Galloway and Upper Nithsdale since 2003. Previously, it represented the South of Scotland in 1999.

Farmer before his election, he was preserving spokesperson for agriculture and the forest with the Scottish Parlement. After having found its seat at the time of the elections of 2007, he was elected president the May 14th by his colleagues of the Parliament to succeed George Reid. Its station being above the parties, it voluntarily suspended Conservative party.
