Alex English (born the January 5th 1954 with Columbia, South Carolina -) is a former professional player American of Basket-ball.

Biography

Winger resulting from the University of South Carolina, Alex English evolved/moved primarily with the Denver Nuggets. He carried out averages of 21,5 points and 5,5 rebounds per match during his career NBA. He took part in seven NBA All-Star Range, its number 2 was withdrawn by Nuggets and was established with the Basketball Hall off Famed .

English passed the majority of its career with Nuggets, but also evolved/moved under the colors of the Milwaukee Bucks, the Indiana Pacers and the Dallas Mavericks. It was selected at the time of the Draft NBA 1976 by Bucks.

The style of English was regarded as elegant and easy. Not having the physical force of its contemporaries such Dominique Wilkins and James Worthy, English developed its play on the technique and the smoothness. These capacities enabled him to rise with the 11th rank of the history of the NBA with a total of: 25613 points marked during its career. He was the first player to be registered at least: 2000 points per season during eight consecutive seasons. He was the best marker of the Années 1980.

In June 2004, English was engaged to become director of the development of the players and trainer associated with the Toronto Raptors.

Alex English in addition became actor. He began in 1987 in film “ Amazing Grace and Chuck ”, incarnating a fictitious player of the Boston Celtics. He also had roles in televised series such “ Midnight Caller ” in 1989 and played the part of trainer of the Cleveland Cavaliers in “ Eddie ” in 1996), like in the role of “ The Premiere 1997 in film “ The Definite Maybe . ”
