Alex Biryukov is a Cryptologue at the origin of several attacks on famous codings.

He is Co-inventor with David Wagner of the Attaque by slip ( slide attack ). At the sides of Adi Shamir and Eli Biham, Biryukov improved the attack on coding of NSA, Skipjack. It also published attacks on SAFER and A5/1.

Biryukov currently works as a professor at the University of Luxembourg. It took part in the project NESSIE, with the project STORK (plane of road European for cryptology) and ECRYPT for which it presented the Chiffrement of flood LEX.
