Alessandro Allori
Alessandro Allori or Alexandre Allori , known as Bronzino , is a painter Florentin mannerist (Florence, May 31st 1535 - Florence, September 22nd 1607)
He is the father of Cristofano Allori. He had as Masters a family friend Angelo di Cosimo di Mariano known as Bronzino , then Michel-Angel. In certain connections, Allori is the last of the line of eminent painters florentins: Andrea del Sarto collaborated with FRA Bartolomeo (like Léonard de Vinci), Pontormo was briefly the pupil of Andrea and formed Bronzino which itself formed Allori. The following generations were strongly influenced by the wave baroque which dominated in other parts of the Italy.
Among his collaborators one finds Giovanni Maria Butteri and his principal pupil Giovanni Bizzelli. Cristoforo del Altissimo, Cesare Dandini, Aurelio Lomi, John Mosnier, Giovan Battista Vanni, and Monanni were also its pupils. Allori was one of the artists having worked, under the orders of Giorgio Vasari, on the decoration of the Studiolo of François Ier.
