Alessandro Achillini

Alessandro Achillini (Bologna 1463 - 1512) was a Philosophe and Anatomiste Italy N.

He taught with Bologna and Padoue with as well of glare as it was called the second Aristote. He followed the opinions of Averroès.

One has of him:

  • a treaty Of universalibus (Bologna, 1501);
  • of the estimated works of medicine and anatomy, inter alia Anatomicæ annotationes (Bologna, 1520).

It is one of the first which dissected human body.

His/her brother, Jean-Philothée Achillini (1466-1538), and one of his descendants, Claude Achillini (1574-1640), were distinguished like poets. This last, imitator of Marini, was extremely tasted in France.
