The collar of Ales is a collar of the Alps of the South, between the Alp-of-High-Provence and the the Alpes-Maritimes, which connects the Vallée of Ubaye to the Vallée of the Verdon. It culminates with 2247 meters of altitude, between the solid masses of the Pelat and the Three bishoprices, near the town of Allos and of the source of the the Verdon. It is open from May to October.
The road has an average declivity of 5.5%, with maxima with 9%.
