Ale (river)

The Ale (German), Allin (in Old Prussian), or Łyna (Polish); (Russian): Лава ( Washed ) is a river in the North-East of current the Poland also bathing the Oblast of Kaliningrad in Russia.

It is a Affluent river Pregolya (which throws in the the Baltic). It has an overall length of 264 km (190 km in Poland - the 11th Polish river in length - and 74 km in Russia). It covers a surface of 7.126 km ² including 5.719 km ² in Poland.

It was an important component of the Napoléonienne victory of the Bataille of Friedland.
