Aldohexose

A aldohexose is a Ose composed of six atoms of Carbone (Hexose) and whose first atom has a function Aldéhyde (R−C (=O) H).

Eight aldohexoses is distinguished:

• the Draw sheet
• the Altrose
• the Glucose
• the Mannose
• the Gulose
• the Idose
• the Galactose
• the Talose

Each one of these compounds have a conformation D and a conformation L. In fact isomer divide all the same empirical formula: . The cétohexoses also have the same formula.
