Aldebert de Chambrun
Aldebert de Chambrun of its true name Jacques Aldebert Pineton de Chambrun is a Général French born the July 23rd 1872 with Washington (District of Columbia) and died in Paris on April 22nd, 1962.
Biography
He is the 3rd child of Charles-Adolphe de legal Chambrun adviser with the embassy of France to the the United States then lawyer with New York (Marvejols August 10th, 1831 - New York September 13rd, 1891) and of Marie Henriette Helene Marthe Tircuy de Corcelle (Paris June 6th, 1832 - Paris November 17th, 1902), grand-daughter of Marie Antoinette Virginia of Mottier itself girl of Fayette.
Charles Pineton de Chambrun was the friend of President Abraham Lincoln which had invited it to the theater the evening when he was assassinated but of which he had refused the invitation because it was the day of the Good Friday.
In 1892 after having passed its youth with the the United States, Aldebert de Chambrun engages as gunner of 2eclasse with the 20 {{E}} Régiment of Artillery of Poitiers. It is promoted on May 18th, 1893 sergeant furrier. In 1896, it is received with the Ecole of artillery and the genius of Versailles.
At its exit of the school, on the councils of its brother-in-law Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza, it chooses the 2 {{E}} Régiment of Marine artillery.
In 1898-1899 it takes part in the Mission Foureau Lamy. It is wounded during the final confrontation with Rabah with Kousséri in which the Commander Lamy is killed. On his return President Emile Loubet decorates it with the chivalric insignias of the Légion of honor.
He marries on February 19th, 1901 with Cincinnati Clara Longworth which had been pilot with the marriage of his/her brother Pierre de Chambrun with Margaret Rives Nichols.
Clara Longworth is the sister of Nicholas Longworth (1869 - 1931), eminent member of the Republican party, son-in-law of Theodore Roosevelt and chair (1925-1931) Chambre of the representatives of the United States. It is specialist in Shakespeare, doctor of the Université of Paris and doctor Honoris causa of the Université Xavier of Cincinnati
The couple has two children: Suzanne (1902-1921) and Rene de Chambrun

- 1908: named Military attach3e to Washington. It carries out several missions with the Mexico. The president William Howard Taft successor of Roosevelt is a close friend of the couple.
- In October 1913, it is affected after being promoted Commander with the 40e regiment of artillery to Saint-Mihiel
- It does all the countryside of the Marne, Verdun and the Sum. It is promoted Officer of the Legion of Honor on May 3rd, 1916 and city with the order of the army May 23rd, 1916 by Philippe Pétain
- Colonel on May 24th, 1919
- June 13rd, 1917: hundred sixty seventeen Americans, of which John Pershing, commander-in-chief of the task force, and the lieutenant Patton, unload with Boulogne-sur-Mer. Aldebert de Chambrun belongs to the delegation which accommodates them.
- March 1920: named ordering artillery with the Morocco at the request of the Maréchal Lyautey it takes part in the pacification campaigns including the capture of Abd el-Krim.

- September 17th, 1927: Major general
- 1929: higher commander of the troops in Tunisia.
- 1931: it accompanies in the United States the Pétain marshal, come to represent France with the 150e birthday of the Bataille of Yorktown.
- September 1932: ordering army corps of Bordeaux 18 {{E}} Area
- October 1933: it replaces the Pétain marshal with the congress of the American War veterans and gives with the ambassador of France the saber of honor, intended for George Washington at the time of her death, with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt which is large cousin of its sister-in-law Alice Roosevelt woman of Nicholas Longworth.
Placé in the section of reserve on July 23rd, 1934 he becomes president of the bank National city bank in Paris. He will be also president of crystal manufactures of Baccarat which had belonged to its great-uncle Joseph, Dominique, Aldebert de Chambrun and of which he had inherited part of the capital.
In 1939, it is charged by Daladier with going to negotiate with Roosevelt the purchase of weaponry cash and curry . During the occupation with his wife they dealt with protecting the American hospital from Paris from which he was administrator as well as the American library of the street of Teheran
With the release, it is stopped with his wife by Francs-tireurs and in favor and released on September 11th, 1944 on instruction from the provisional government.
