Aldan
The Aldan (in Russian Алдан ) is a 2.273 km long river located in Siberia, in Russia of Asia. It is one of the principal affluents of the Lena. Aldan wants to say in Yakoute language: " who carts or".
The river takes its source in the massive of Stanovoï, close to the top of Nerioungri. It takes a north-eastern direction through the plate of Aldan. It emerges then in a valley which is widening then takes a western direction. To approximately 150 km of Iakoutsk, it is thrown in the lower course of the Lena.
Aldan is navigable on 1600 km. Its principal affluents are:
