Alcide Delmont

Alcide Delmont is a lawyer and politician French born the October 2nd 1874 with Saint-Pierre in Martinique and deceased the October 10th 1959 with Brannay in the Yonne. Holder of a Doctorate in Right, Alcide Delmont is allowed with the Barreau of Paris the February 11th 1904 as lawyer. Secretary of the conference of the training course of lawyers to the Court of Appeal of Paris in the promotion of Pierre Masses (1906-1907), it carries out during nearly 50 years a double political career and legal. He is also member of the central committee of the Ligue of the Human rights.

Of 1924 with 1936 it is Député of Martinique. He is Sous-secrétaire of State to the Colonies from November 3rd, 1929 to February 21st, 1930 and from March 2nd to December 30th, 1930, in the Governments André Tardieu (1) and André Tardieu (2). Alcide Delmont is the second inhabitant of Martinique of the history after Henri Lémery with being member of a French government.
