Alberto Ascari
Alberto Ascari (born the July 13rd 1918 with Milan and deceased the May 26th 1955 with Monza) was a racing driver Automobile Italy N. It gained the championship of the world of Formule 1 twice before committing suicide at the time of a meeting out of tests deprived over the circuit out of Monza.
Biography
Wire of Antonio Ascari, one of the tenors of the sport automobile of the Years 1920 and died in race, Alberto Ascari began the competition on two wheels, before being left timidly tried by the automobile Sport in 1940. But its beginnings in competition are stopped by the bursting of the Second world war.
At the end of the hostilities, Alberto Ascari does not express any desire for taking again the wheel in race, but ends up being let convince by his/her friend Luigi Villoresi. As from 1947, Ascari shines in Grand Prix, which is worth to him to be committed by the Scuderia Ferrari. In 1949, Ascari accumulates the victories, but the return to the competition of Alfa Romeo the constrained one to play the supporting roles in 1950, year of creation of the championship of the world of Formula 1. Ferrari go up gradually in power, and fine 1951, Ascari takes down its first successes in championship of the world.
As from 1952, the withdrawal of Alfa Romeo combined with the new technical regulation into force leaves the free field to Ferrari. Ascari is given some then to heart joy and crushes the championship of the world in 1952 and 1953, signing historical records of nine consecutive victories to horse over these two years. Many observers then agree to see in Ascari equal Juan Manuel Fangio.
With the general surprise, Ascari leaves Scuderia Ferrari at the end of 1953 to be gone from there to join the new team Lancia in company of his/her faithful friend Luigi Villoresi. This sporting choice proves to be catastrophic, and in 1954, the Lancia project having taken delay, Ascari is absent from majority of the Grand Prix of the championship of the world.
Lancia finally ready, Ascari approaches the season 1955 with great ambitions, countered in découdre with considered invincible Mercedes-Benz. Ascari passes near to the exploit to the Grand Prix of Monaco: rolling in second position, the victory seems to him promised when the engine of the Mercedes of Stirling Moss starts to fail. But Ascari does not benefit from aubaine and is made surprise at the exit of the tunnel by the oil deposited by Mercedes, loses the control of its Lancia, and finishes its race in water of the port! One will need all the vigilance of the frogman to save Ascari of the drowning.
Left at rest following this accident, it is in simple observer that Ascari assists four days later with a meeting of tests deprived on the circuit of Monza, where its young compatriot Eugenio Castelloti polishes the adjustments of Ferrari category sport which it must divide with him at the time of the 1000 kilometers of Monza to come. But against the opinion of the doctors, Ascari emulously does not resist to test in its turn the car. As of its second loop, Ascari loses the control of its car and finds death. The circumstances of this accident never could be established.
