Albert you Serstevens
Albert you Serstevens is a writer French of Belgian origin born with Uccle (Brussels) in 1885 and died with Paris in 1974. It is buried with the Cimetière of the Father-Lachaise.
It offers a fertile and solid work: prose poems, novels, routes of voyage, tests and plays.
Large friend of Blaise Cendrars (48 years of friendship), which wrote of him:
- “ I measure with perspicacity all that separates us, and I put it well above me. I am not even his disciple. Our designs of the literature did not have anything similar, and there undoubtedly never was in the history of the Letters such a friendship between two so different writers. Its dominant was the spontaneous profusion of the thought and its turnings; mine, the clearness and economy of the words; he believed in itself, and he was not wrong, whereas I am held prudently in the doubt in all things, especially on my own subject; he was sure of his posthumous future, this glory of in addition to-falls whose I do not make any case in what relates to me, on which I hardly count, and of which, after all, I card-index myself passionately because I will not enjoy it ”.
According to the testimony of Elisabeth Prévost who was a momentary partner of Cendrars (1938), you Serstevens “enormously jalousait” Cendrars. Cendrars celebrates to it (fourth) marriage of the Ami you Serstevens in Bourlinguer . Among his/her other buddies appear Abel Gance, Louis Jou, Laurent Tailhade, Fernand Fleuret, Pierre Mac Orlan.
