Albert Roze
Albert Dominique Roze (1861-1952) is a French sculptor born and died in Amiens which has, inter alia, carried out the sculpture on the tomb of Jules Verne.
Local director of the National school of the Art schools, it took part in the “ Boards of examiners of the projects of erection of memorials with died of the War ” after 1918. He was also member of the jury of the contest organized by the town of Montdidier for the choice of his memorial of the dead soldiers to the war.
He carried out also many war memorials the in several cities and villages of the Sum (Abbeville, Amiens, Ault, Beauchamps, Bougainville, Cayeux-on-Sea, Chépy, Domart-in-Ponthieu, Friaucourt, Friville-Escarbotin, Mers-les-Bains, Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme,…).
