Albert Park
Albert Park is suburbs of Melbourne. This village which counts 58.329 inhabitants (2001) is located at 2 kilometers in the south of Melbourne. It owes its name to prince Albert, husband of the Victoria Queen. Two parks and a lake give to these suburbs a certain seal.
Albert Park is famous in the world of the Sport. Grounds of cricket of “St Kilda Cricket Club” and of “South Melbourne Cricket Club”, courts of tennis with a final of Coupe Davis (1908) disputed here, stages of Rugby, Australian Football, and of course the automobile Grand Prix of Australia of Formula 1 which is held to with it since 1996 on the Circuit of the Albert Park.
