Albert Girard

Albert Girard is a Mathématicien French born in 1595 with Saint-Mihiel and deceased in 1632 in Holland.

It stated the first, without showing it, the fundamental Théorème of the algebra in 1629 in its " New invention in Algèbre" :

" All the equations of algebra receive as many solutions as the denomination of the highest quantity the démontre"

He was also the inventor of the signs sin cos and tan.
