Alber Elbaz

Alber Elbaz , born on June 12th, 1961 with Casablanca (Morocco) is a fashion designer israelo-American.

Biography

Born in Morocco, it grows with Tel-Aviv (Israel) where it follows the courses of the college of Shenkar mode.

In 1987, it leaves for New York, where it meets the creator Geoffrey Beene, with which it works during seven years. In 1997, Ralph Tolédano, then president of Guy Laroche, choose it to refresh the image of the founded French house in 1957.

One year later it will be called by Pierre Bergé for the house Saint Laurent.

In 2001, it takes again the artistic director of Lanvin.
