Alban Lefranc

Alban Lefranc , born with Caen in 1975, is a French writer and translator. It shares its time between Berlin and Paris.

Its first two novels have as a framework the Germany the Sixties and Seventies.

" Attacks on the way the evening in the neige" , published in 2005, is a “biographical fiction” around Fassbinder, which convenes figures as various as Mohammed Ali and Dziga Vertov.

Its second novel, " Crowd, mouths, armes" recall the first years of the Red Army Fraction; it has as main characters Bernward Vesper, Andreas Baader and Gudrun Ensslin. One also crosses there Otto Schilly, Daniel Cohn Bendit, Rudi Dutschke and Joschka Fischer.

Alban Lefranc founded the review the cold sea in 2000. He collaborates regularly in Inculte (review) , Quartanier, Holy Carbone, Rue Ambroise, the Revue resources.

He also translated from German a novel of Peter Weiss: The duel.

In 2007, the National center of the Book granted to him a purse of writing for its third novel.
