Albéric de Montgolfier
Albéric of Montgolfier (born the July 6th 1964 with Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine). President of the general advice of Eure-et-Loir (28). Married on June 18th, 2005 with Audrey Hamon, father of a child, Marguerite, born on June 21st, 2006.
Political commitment
Thanks to two elections which were played very little voice, Albéric de Montgolfier became in a few years a political personality of foreground in Eure-et-Loir. In 1998, he is elected general adviser (various right-hand side) Canton of Orgères-in-Beauce with hardly 10 votes in advance on the outgoing general adviser (various left) and mayor of the chief town of canton. In 2001, following the accidental death of Martial Taugourdeau, Horned Gerard, senator RPR and first vice-president of the general advice becomes president by interim. To provide for its final replacement, the elected officials of the group of the departmental majority (RPR/UDF /divers right-hand side), organize internal primary elections which oppose Gerard Cornu, often considered like " favori" , in Albéric de Montgolfier. This last will gain the primary elections with only one vote in advance. He becomes then logically president of the general advice. Re-elected in 2004, member of the UMP, Albéric de Montgolfier lead a majority UMP/UDF/divers right-hand side which widened in December 2006 with two former various elected officials left and PS.
Measurements and achievements
Among important measurements that it initiated one can note:- development of one White paper for the Eure-et-Loir (2004 - actualization in 2007), elaborate in dialog with the lifeblood of the department and after consultation of the population, which aims to define the axes of development of the department in 15 years;
- the confortation of the industrial relations policy, the Eure-et-Loir being in 2005 the 14th French department for its established budget with solidarity and the social action;
- a plan of cover of the department in Internet high-flow;
- the installation of a plan of ambitious cultural activity founded in particular on the development of the inheritance (Castle of Maintenon, Castle of Ferté-Vidame, Abbaye of Thiron-Kept, etc), the realization of structuring equipment (Center of contemporary art with Dreux) and the organization of cultural events (lyric Journées of Chartres and Eure-et-Loir);
- the initiation of a fight plan against school failure;
- a support reinforced for the Cosmetic Valley;
- the reform of the assistances of the general advice to the communes with the creation of funds departmental dedicated;
- a support for the structuring of an economic die founded on the valorization of the production agricultural " Agrodynamic".
Opponents
This action is disputed by the elected officials of the departmental minority (PS/PRG /Divers left), whose main leader is Jacky Jaulneau (PS). They reproach in particular the maintenance of a system of attribution specific to the general advice of Eure-et-Loir, subsidies with the communes via the funds of equalization of the transfer taxes. In December 2006, Brigitte Santerre, elected PS of the canton of Chartres South-western and Jean-Pierre Gaboriau, lately elected UDF, ex-Various left, of the canton of Châteauneuf-in-Thymerais left the group of the departmental minority. At the departmental level, the media regularly oppose it to the UMP deputy and mayor of Chartres, Jean-Pierre Gorges so much so that the local press (the republican Echo - September 2005) classified it like one of its " enemies politiques". In 2007, it supports nevertheless Jean-Pierre Gorges with the legislative elections, and agreed to make be reproduced on its leaflet of countryside a long interview.
