Alassio is an Italian commune of the Province of Soaps in Ligurie.

Old name: Araisse
History
It is said that the name Alassio comes from the name of Adelasia, girl of the emperor Otton I. After being itself flees with a stable boy of the name of Aleramo, it is established on the hills of Alassio and gave rise to the family of Aleramici.
