Alain Rodet

Alain Rodet is a Politician French, born the June 4th 1944 with Dieulefit (Drome). He is elected appointed in the fourth district of the High-Vienna since 1981. He belongs to the socialist group with the National Assembly, and is also mayor of Limoges since 1990 and chair territories of the community of agglomerations of Limoges.

Alain Rodet chaired the support group Ségolène Royal in High-Vienna for the French presidential election of 2007.

He announced in September 2007 his new candidature for the municipal elections of 2008 with the town hall of Limoges.

Legal affairs

A local supplement of the weekly magazine the Express train was at the origin of a complaint of Jean-Marie Brachet for insults. The mayor of Limoges had indeed qualified " there; … poor, RPR like a seal… ". October 19th, 2006, the Court of Appeal of Paris confirmed the judgment of the magistrates' court of Paris of December 1st, 2005 for public insult, these concerning remarks the Homophobie. Condemned to pay 1500€ of fine, like 4000€ for court fees and 1€ of damage in Jean-Marie Brachet, Alain Rodet decided to provide itself in cassation. The business is in the course of judgment.
