Alain Pessin

Alain Pessin (1949-2005) was a French sociologist.

Course

Pessin was a specialist in the Sociologie of art.

Director of the Center of sociology of the representations and the cultural practices (University of Grenoble), unit of CNRS specialized in sociology of art and the culture, it also turned to the problems of sociabilities of exclusions in the contemporary companies.

Pessin worked particularly on the concept of Peuple, the literature Anarchiste, the imaginary one, arts, the Jazz, the concept of Interactionnisme symbolic system. It published a great number of works.
