Alain Paul Lebeaupin

Its Excellence Monseigneur Alain Paul Charles Lebeaupin , born the March 2nd 1945, with Paris (France) is titular Archevêque of Vico Equense and Apostolic nuncio (Ambassadeur of the Saint Seat) for the Kenya.

Years of training

It is ordered priest on June 28th, 1975 in the diocese of Nice after studies with the pontifical seminar French with Rome. It obtains a Doctorat in Civil law and masters in canon law and Théologie.

Diplomatic activity

Alain Paul Lebeaupin between with the diplomatic mission of the the Holy See in 1979. First of all he works with the mission of observation of the Holy See of the United Nations with New York (1979 - 1982) then, with apostolic nonciature of the Dominican Republic (1982 - 1985) and with the apostolic delegation with the Mozambique (1985 - 1989). He is called with the Secrétairerie of State and is member of the Organization for safety and the co-operation in Europe (SOEC) of 1989 to 1998. March 27th, 1996, Lebeaupin is also person in charge with apostolic nonciature of the European Union. December 7th, 1988, Lebeaupin is named, as a titular archbishop of Vico Equense, with apostolic nonciature of the Ecuador. It receives the episcopal ordination of the pope Jean-Paul II on January 6th, 1999. January 14th, 2005, it is named with apostolic nonciature of the Kenya and permanent observer with the Program of the United Nations for the environment (PNUE and with the Program of the United Nations for the human settlements (UN-HABITAT). It arrives at Kenya on April 28th, 1985.
