Alain Pasquier
Alain Pasquier , born in 1942, is a historian of the art French, specialized in the ancient Greece, the Muséographie and the techniques of conservation of the inheritance.
Biography
Former student of the National university of the street of aggregate Ulm (promotion L 1962) and of traditional letters (1966), he is member of the French École of Athens of 1971 to 1974. With leaving this establishment, it becomes preserving Department of Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities with the Musée of Louvre. In 1984, it is named preserving as a chief then, in 1988, general inspector of the Museums of France. In 1999, become preserving general of the Inheritance, it takes the direction of the Department of Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities, that it preserves until 2007.
Since 1974, he is professor of Greek archeology, charged with the sculpture, with the École of Louvre. He also ensures since 1995 the courses of ceramic Greek the National university of the street of Ulm. In 2003, it was named corresponding French of the Académie of the Inscriptions and Belles-Lettres.
In 2007, it was with Jean-Luc Martinez the police chief of the exposure Praxitèle of the museum of Louvre.
