Alain Minc

Alain Jacques Richard Minc is leading of company, chairs Board of trustees and Company of the readers of the Monde , and chairs AM council. He is also the semi-official adviser of part of the Gotha French politico-industrialist.

He is the son of a Dentiste Polish naturalized French in 1947; he was born the April 15th 1949 with Paris in the 19 {{E}} district, he is married, and father of three children. He is officer of the Légion of honor, of which he is member since 1994.

Career

He is qualified engineer of the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the mines of Paris (promotion 1971), graduate of the Institut of political studies of Paris (promotion 1971) then of the National school of administration (promotion 1975) where he was Major of the promotion Leon Blum, economic way of Administration.

He integrates the General inspection of Finances then resigns of his body to join Saint-Gobain in 1979. He leaves this company in 1986 to work with the business man Carlo De Benedetti, and becomes general administrator-director of Cerus. He leaves the company in April 1991. He took part in the directories of multiple companies (for example, Valeo) via Attendance fees to the boards of directors what was sometimes reproached to him.

Thus Gerard Mestrallet, chairman of Suez, remunerated it whereas Alain Minc advised Albert Frère which tried to relieve Mestrallet. Another conflict of interests: the managing director of VINCI Xavier Huillard dislocated it board of directors in January 2007, realizing that Minc advised François Pinault, which prepared an attack against the group of BTP. According to Release , Minc wanted to be avenged for Huillard which had dislocated his/her friend Antoine Zacharias the previous year.

He is also member of several influential think tank, like the Fondation Saint-Simon (treasurer), the club the Century. Publishing approximately a book per annum, he is an adviser solicited by the principal French companies. Administrator of many companies, it treats economy like speech of communication with his company AM council.

Since the opening of Direct8, chain of TNT, Alain Minc are leader-writer of the emission entitled Vis-a-vis: Alain Minc animated by Guillaume Klossa, the European leader-writer of the daily newspaper Subway and chair Governmental organization EuropaNova. In January 2007, it becomes the organizer of this emission.

Legal judgment for plagiarism

Alain Minc was condemned the November 28th 2001 by the Court of Bankruptcy of Paris to pour 100  000 francs (15  244,90 euros) as Damages for Plagiarism, servile Reproduction and Counterfeit, for its work entitled Spinoza, a Jewish novel , of which the court ruled that it was a counterfeit partial of the work Spinoza, the mask of wisdom of Patrick Rödel.

Le Monde

June 28th, 2007 during the renewal of the presidency of the board of trustees, Claude Perdriel declares re-elected Alain Minc, whereas this last obtained 10 votes " pour" on 20 (7 " contre" and 3 abstentions), with the contempt of the statutes of the group according to the Company of the writers of the World. The members of the SRM criticize the posted proximity of Alain Minc with the president of the Republic Nicolas Sarkozy. The influence in slides of Minc had been criticized in the book Petits councils of the former journalist of the Monde Laurent Mauduit. The July 25th, five companies of the personnel of the daily newspaper urged a legal mediation to obtain the withdrawal of Alain Minc. He announced on October 15th, 2007 his intention to leave at the end of March the presidency of the board of trustees of the Le Monde newspaper.
