Alain Françon

Alain Françon (born in 1946) is an author and Director of French theater. He is currently the director of the National theater of the Hill in Paris.

Biography

He founds the company the burst Theater with Annecy in 1971. During nearly twenty years, it goes up there inter alia Marivaux, Sade, Ibsen, Strindberg, Brecht and Michel Vinaver. In 1989, it directs the national dramatic Center of Lyon - Theater of the Eighth. It assembles there in particular Britannicus and Hedda Gabler . Between 1992 and 1995, it directs the national dramatic Center of Savoy where it assembles Edward Bond, Tchekhov.

Since 1996 he is director of the National theater of the Hill. Its mandate was prolonged until January 2010, date on which Stephan Braunschweig will succeed to him.
