Akina Shirt

Akina Shirt ( 1994) is a young singer Cri thirteen years.

Biography

This year, Akina was dissociated while being the first Amerindian singer to sing the O Canada in an event of national scale. At the time of the tournament of the Flames of Calgary, she sang a translation of the Canadian national anthem for the first time in an indigenous language of the First Nations of the Canada. This performance was very noticed and diffused from one ocean to another on television national. The Cri translation of the national anthem is a homage to the founder role of the First Nations in the formation of Canada.

Currently, she sings with four important choral societies, that is to say the choral society " Victoria' S Junior High Choir" , " Al Treble" , " Shumayela Choir" and the choral society " Sacred Heart Church off First People". She receives also an intensive vocal drive with the Academy of music of the Alberta.

Recently, it recorded an album containing 4 songs in Cri for the " Social Studies Curriculum vitae of Alberta Education. It also enregitré an album for the foundation which piles up funds to provide in assistance for the isolated Amerindian reserves.
