Akbar Gandji

Akbar Ganjī اکبرگنجی is a Journaliste and Intellectuel Iran IEN pertaining to the opposition to the Islamic Republic. He denounces the violations of the Human rights in Iran.

Gandji is stopped in 2000, following the publication of articles implying of the politicians and haut-fontionnaires in the murders of intellectuals and dissidents which have occurred in 1998. Condemned to six years of prison for insult against the authorities and propaganda against the mode . In August 2005, the general secretary of UNO, Kofi Annan had invited the Iranian authorities to release Akbar Ganji for humane reasons, following its prolonged Hunger strike.

Akbar Ganji denounces a mode which made carry out 94 people in 2005: “The fact that the penal code authorizes a citizen to be assassinated some another if he is judged " impie" ; prohibition to write for the journalists " opposants" ; the difficulty in expressing (70 women were stopped a few days ago) or the cover d'" autoritarisme" who is unaware of any private life and transforms the simple gesture for a woman to move his scarf on his head in a political gesture”.

Gandji thinks that the only exit for the country will be democratic, which passes from there by the separation of the policy and the religion. He reminds the Western democracies “their duty to denounce the infringements of the human rights in Iran.”

Akbar Gandji received the Plume of gold of freedom in 2006.
