Akathisy
The akathisy is a SymptĂ´me which is defined by the imperative need to move, especially on the level of the lower extremities. It occurs especially in sitting position or lengthened. It is unpleasant and can be accompanied by disorders of mood, of anxiety.
This symptom is classically an undesirable effect of a treatment by Neuroleptique.
The principal differential diagnosis is the Syndrome of the legs without rest.
The treatment consists in decreasing the amount of nerve sedatives.
