Ajoie
The Ajoie (in German Elsgau, not very used) is an area of the North-West of the Suisse, located in the canton of the Jura (District of Porrentruy). It belongs to the tabular Jura and is made up of six géographiques  fields;:
- the valley of the Vendline (north-eastern), with the communes of Vendlincourt, Bonfol and Beurnevésin,
- the Baroche (is), with Miécourt, Charmoille, Fregiécourt, Pleujouse and Asuel,
- the side of the Mount-Terri (southern), with Cornol, Courgenay, Fontenais and Bressaucourt,
- the High-Ajoie (western), with Courtedoux, Chevenez, Rocourt, Rock-with Or, Réclère, Damvant, Grandfontaine, Fahy and Bore-hole,
- the valley of the Allaine (center and north), with Ale, Porrentruy, Courchavon, Courtemaîche, Montignez, Buix and Boncourt,
- the valley of Coeuvatte (northern), with Coeuve, Damphreux and Lugnez.
Each year in November, the gastronomical festival of the Saint Martin is the occasion of the development of the tradition and the many products of the soil of Ajoie.
