Ajaccio (wine)
Area of production: Corsica.
Type of vines : In red: Sciacarello mainly, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan. In white: Vermentino (mainly), ugni.
Soil : Granitic slopes above the gulfs of Ajaccio and Sagone.
Surface : 250 hectares.
Characters : Reds especially: fleshy wines, frames in flexibility on a solid framework, with the rather clear dress, the spice nose, of tobacco and fruits red.
Time of guard : 4 to 6 years.
Temperature of service : 15-17 °C (red).
