Airport of Southern Figari Corsica

The airport of Southern Figari Corsica is a AƩroport department of the Corse-du-Sud. It is managed by the Chamber of commerce and of industry of Ajaccio and Corsica of the South.

Located at Figari, near Porto-Vecchio (20 km) and of Bonifacio (25 km), this AƩrodrome is opened with the commercial, regular traffic national and international or not, with the private aircrafts, IFR and VFR. The traffic amounted to 302.374 in 2006 against 266.231 passengers in 2005, which makes the third airport of Corsica of it.

Figari has the most important track of the island in length, which enables him to accommodate large transport aircrafts as of Boeing 747 or A340 Airbus to face the points of traffic of the holiday periods.

The airport of Figari was served by Air the Alps, TAT, EAS, Point Air, Air Freedom, Littoral Air, Air Lib, Kyrnair. All these companies went bankrupt. Today, Figari is served by CCM AIRLINES in partnership with Air France.
