Airport of Diên Biên Phu

The airport of Diên Biên Phu is a small airport at the town of Dien Bien, the chief town of the province Dien Bien, in the north-western area of the Vietnam.

During the War of Indo-China, it was a military airport of the French Army with for name “Airport of Muong Thanh”. There is a concrete track of 1830 m, able to accommodate the small planes like ATR 72. There are connections towards the Nội Bài (Hanoi). In this moment, this airport is increased to be classified 4D by ICAO (International organization of the Civil aviation) with a concrete track of 2400 m X 45 m to accommodate Airbus A320 or A321.
