Airline hostess
The airline hostess is in charge of the reception of the passengers in the Avion S. It also makes sure of their comfort and their safety.
With each flight, it accommodates the passengers on board of the plane, the assistance to be settled, explains the security instructions and day before to them so that they are respected strictly. During the way, the airline hostess deals with the comfort of the passengers (it distributes drinks, meal, in-case, review, etc) and of their safety, as well as safety on board (fight against the illicit interventions).
The airline hostess has as a male equivalent the steward .
They are involved with the fire control, the emergency evacuations, the first aid, survival. In France, they are titular " Certificate Sauvetage" Safety; (CS) and their authorization of flight is dependant on their medical aptitude (medical visit supplements every two years up to 40 years and every year then).
A " Maintenance of Compétences" each year is programmed.
The official term is " Flight crew Commercial" (PNC)
The hierarchy includes/understands le/la " Chief of Cabine" and le/la " Chief of Principal" Cabin; on large transport aircrafts.
At Air France the first recruitments will start in 1943.
