Air One

Air One (Code AITA: AP ; Code ICAO: ADH ) is a Airline company Italy, which draws its origin from the Aliadriatica , founded in 1983 with Pescara in the the Abruzzi (and whose seat since is fixed at Chieti).

It belongs to the Toto group which controls 98% of them (Civil engineering: Louse Costruzioni Generali S.p.A. directed by Carlo Louse).

In June 1994, Aliadriatica bought a Boeing 737 -200 to accomplish flights middle-distance carrier. The November 23rd 1995 was selected the new name Air One (which, very attached, means also Héron in Italian - from where the symbol of the company) and accomplished flights between Rome and Milan (in addition to the only company authorized to accomplish flights there, Alitalia).

Air One takes part with Lufthansa in the program of development of consumer loyalty Miles & More .

It is the principal airline company deprived in Italy. In 2006, it exceeded the 33% of the Italian national market. With a manpower of 2.800 personnel (including the subsidiary companies), it accomplishes flights bound for 23 Italian cities and 8 cities abroad (London, Berlin, Paris, Athens, Copenhagen, Vienna, Toulon and Zurich)

It transported in 2003 nearly 5 million passengers (+ 21,8% compared to 2002 - and more than 5 million in 2004). In 2006, ella transported approximately 6,3 million passengers. This order does one of the main customers of Airbus of them.

An industrial sphere for 2007-2011 confirms this growth: 10 new CRJ 900 were bought (delivered in May 2007 for the two last). At the end of 2007, the fleet will be thus made up of 56 aircraft: 27 Boeing 737,12 Airbus A320, 10 CRJ 900,2 ATR 42,2 Avro 70 and 3 airfreighters.

It is candidate with the repurchase of Alitalia through holding AP Holding.
