AirAsia X

AirAsia X is a new airline company, based with Kuala Lumpur (KUL), in Malaysia. This company is a project of the Malayan company AirAsia, and of its compatriot Fly Asian Express. This company should take off in 2008, for flights has destinations of Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), the China and the Europe.

This company length mail will be of type low cost. Tony Fernandes, president of the companies will take 50 (+1) % of the capital, it will be the majority shareholder of the new long-distance company low cost. Richard Branson, chairman of the Virgin group; would be apparently on the way to obtain 20% of the capital.

For the moment, this company delayed its opening, because of the delays of Airbus. Air Asia X announced, in April, the purchase of 15 (5 in option) A330-300 Airbus.

The 14 or 15 /09/2007, 1st A330-301 were delivered with the company.
