Aiolia

Aiolia (アイオリア, aioria ) is a character of Saint Seiya and is also the main character of the manga Saint Seiya episode G. It is the Knight of Gold of the Lion, young brother of Aiolos and guard of the fifth house of the Zodiac. It was born in Greece with the Sanctuary on August 16th and it is there that it followed its drive. Its name comes from Éolia.

During years, it felt to weigh on him suspicion on behalf of the inhabitants of the Sanctuary because of the act of treachery of his brother. It has little regard for the others Chevaliers of Gold, which it shows to be the murderers of Aiolos, even if in return some of them, like Mu, Shaka or Shura, and even Milo, recognize its force and its talent. It often sometimes happens to him openly to defy or publicly criticize the orders of mission of Large Pope. His/her only true friends are Galan which is at the same time its intendant and his tutor and Lithos that it collected in the house of the Lion and regards as his sister. It is also close to Navy and seems to have supervised the formation that she lavished on Seiya.

Younger brother of Aiolos, which saved Athéna in 1973 of the criminal madness of Saga impostor of Large Pope, Aiolia (Ayor or Aior in French version), has the fastest techniques, because it is him which uses to the maximum speed of light with its attacks.

Techniques

  • Lightning Plasma : a rain of punches carried at speed of light.
  • Lightning Bolt : Aiolia concentrates its cosmos in its fist and tackles a precise point contrary to Lightning Plasma.
  • Lightning Fang
  • Shishi No Kiba : in only animates, means " hooks of the lion".
  • Photon Burst : only in saint seiya G. It is an ultimate technique, which is similar to the level operation with the Stardust Revolution of Mu and in its effects with the Galaxian Explosion of Saga: the cosmos of Aiolia creates stars from which the light comes to concentrate in the body of the adversary then the fact of exploding interior. This technique is however very slow to implement and leaves the Knight of the Lion in a state catatonic. Aiolia developed this technique to protect his/her older brother Aiolos.

Temple

Aiolia keeps the Temple of the Lion (ShiShiKyuu in original version, Maison of the Lion in the French version).

Voice

In the Japanese version, Aiolia was doubled by Hideyuki Tanaka.

When in Aiolia child, it had the voice of Kyôko Tongû.
