Ainharp
Ainharp is a common French, located in the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques and the area Aquitaine.
Its name Basque is Ainharbe.

The commune is crossed by the brooks Lafaure (16,7 km), and Borlaas, both affluents of the Saison.The brook Quihilliri, an affluent of the Pagolla Uraitza (16,2 km, are thrown in the Bidouze) also sprinkles the grounds of the commune.

The toponym Ainharp appears in the forms Ayharp (1472, notaries of Labastide-Villefranche), Espitau d' Anharp and Aynharp (1479, contracts of Ohix), Aignharp (1608, insinuations of the diocese of Oloron).The toponym Lambare appears in the form lo bedat of Lambarre (1476, contracts of Ohix).
History
Paul Raymond note which the commune was an old priory of the diocese of Oloron and which one found there a hospital for the pèlerins.

The commune has a church whose origin goes back to XIe century and a bell-tower-martyrdom of the XVIIe century. Its cemetery raises steles discoïdales dating from the time of the bell-tower.The village is located on a secondary way of the Pèlerinage of Saint-Jacques-to-Compostelle which passed on the main road of the Wearing of Cize, the priory of Saint-Palate to that of Saint-Michel-the-Old man, and just like laid out of an old people's home of pilgrims the Hospital-Saint-Blaise, Osserain, Pagolle, Roquiague, Haux, Larrau and Ordiarp.
