Aime Lepercq
Aime Marie Antoine Lepercq , Politician and Engineer French, was born the September 2nd 1889 with Collonges-with-Mount-in Or (the Rhone) and deceased the November 9th 1944.
Biography
He is the son of Gaston Paul Jules Lepercq, professor, and of Claudine Fichet; and the father of Paul Adolphe Lepercq (1922-1999), left X in 1942.
It integrates the Polytechnic school (Polytechnicien) in 1909 to leave there in 1912, classified fourth on 197 pupils and the École des Mines of Paris mining engineer where it is classified first of his promotion. It is wounded with three recoveries during the First World War and refuses to be let evacuate. After the war, he is director of the Services of the European Union, Industrielle and financial in Tchéquoslovaquie of 1923 to 1929, like administrator of the Czechoslovakian company Škoda.
He takes part in the Résistance. Starting from 1943, it is devoted to the organization of active Resistance within the framework of the civil and military Organization (OCM). He is chief of the French Forces of the interior (FFI) of Île-de-France.
Mobilized in 1939, it refuses to deposit the weapons in spite of the orders of its superiors and does it only with the signature of the armistice. It is made prisoner in June 1940. Released, it takes the presidency of the Steering Committee of Mineral Fuels. It is revoked in 1943, being openly opposed to the policy Laval relating to STO and the deportations in Germany.
It engages then in the Résistance. Starting from 1943, it is devoted to the organization of active Resistance within the framework of the OCM of which it takes the head. It is in 1943 the first commander FFI of Paris, chief of FFI of the Ile-de-France. Decree then released with the favor of the disorganization of the German administration in 1944, it takes the military command of the Town hall of Paris in August 1944.
Director of the industrial and financial European Union and Minister for Finance in the Government Charles de Gaulle (1) as of on September 4th 1944, it dies on November 9th of the same year in an traffic accident whose circumstances are remained obscure, whereas it returns from Lille where it went to take care of the launching of the loan of Libération. Rene Pleven replaces it in this function.
Decorations
It is made Chevalier of the Légion of honor in October 1915, whereas he is lieutenant in artillery, with this quotation: " Exceptionally gifted in intelligence like into force, of a bravery above any praise, fulfills the most difficult missions and most perilous with a splendid coolness; wounded seriously twice, the first is escaped hospital where it was neat to return to its station; second refused to leave évacuer". It receives the Military Cross 14-18 and the Military Cross 39-45 and is titular British Military Cross. It is Compagnon of the Release.
