Aigueblanche
Aigueblanche is a common French, located in the department of the Savoy and the area the Rhone-Alps.
Geography
The city is located in the valley of Tarentaise where the Isere runs. It is located at 3 km of Moûtiers and at 23 km of Albertville. It is crossed by the RN90 which borrows the Tunnel of Ponserand based on the commune.
History
In 1972, the communes of Bellecombe, Large-Heart and Villargerel amalgamated with Aigueblanche. Georges Pezeirat, a long time temporary of Joseph Fontanet and appointed during the ministerial period of this last, is the first mayor. The commune of Avanchers united the following year with Aigueblanche, before separating from it in 1988 under the name of Avanchers-Valmorel.Administration
